CD&E manufactures custom and standard model animal cages. Enclosures are made to order based on the customer’s specifications. They are not “in stock”. Because the volume of orders under construction at any particular time varies, customers are always advised of the current production schedule and when they can expect their cages to ship. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed ship date. If you require delivery by a specified date, please advise CD&E.
When an order has shipped, CD&E will provide detailed shipment information, tracking information and important receiving instructions. Residential freight deliveries require a delivery appointment. The freight company generally calls to set the appointment when the shipment arrives at the delivering terminal, but CD&E will provide the contact number to allow the customer to call while the shipment is transit. Commercial deliveries are not notified in advance, but the tracking information provided allows the customer to anticipate the delivery date.
While rare, it does sometimes happen that a freight shipment is damaged in transit. Your shipment is insured for damage. However, if any of the boxes arrive with visible damage, the box number and a description of the damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. Accepting delivery of any visibly damaged shipment, and failing to notify the driver and note the damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery, tells the freight company that you have signed off on the shipment, and no freight claim can be made. Damaged shipments must be reported to CD&E within 24 hours. If the shipment has been received properly, and damage noted, CD&E will repair or replace, at its option, the damaged product. The customer is not responsible for filing the damage claim with the freight company. Reading the receiving instructions and properly signing for the shipment protects you and your cage investment.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from CD&E. If you need to return or exchange an item, please contact CD&E within 30 days of receipt of your purchase so that we can help you. Items must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition, and in original packaging. Return shipping costs will be at the customer's expense. Returns will be inspected prior to issuing credit. Original Package & Handling/Shipping costs are not refunded. There is no return of custom or customized orders due to their uniqueness.
CD&E offers a variety of models, options and custom modifications. Because of the diversity of animals requiring housing, CD&E cannot guarantee the suitability of any particular model for a customer’s application. It is incumbent upon the purchaser to determine the appropriateness of any particular cage or component for their application. If you have specific questions about materials and/or construction, please ask.
For one year from the date of the original purchase, CD&E warrants to the original purchaser of any CD&E product that, should it prove defective by reason of improper workmanship and/or material, CD&E will repair or replace, at its option, any defective part of the product, without charge for the parts or the shipping. Replacement parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. This warranty does not cover damage to the enclosure caused by the original purchaser or any third party, or the unsuitability of the purchase for its ultimate use, or any other issues arising or discovered more than one year from the original purchase date.
